We appreciate your support of the Friends of PSR petition to save Portland Street Response. Our volunteer group has been planning how to continue our advocacy to support this critical program. Recognizing the opportunity for voters to elect a City Council that is committed to giving this critical life saving program the support and resources it needs to be successful. To best accomplish that, we’ve developed a PSR candidate pledge we’re asking supportive candidates to sign to formalize their support for strengthening PSR.
We’re asking candidate to take four actions:
- read and sign the pledge below, and send us a picture or video of you signing the pledge for us to share;
- list your support for fully funded 24/7 PSR on your campaign website;
- attend an info session with us to learn more about the background and reasons behind the Friends of PSR priorities; and
- attend a budget listening session to submit testimony in support of fully funding PSR and expanding to 24/7 citywide coverage.
We’ll be promoting all candidates who sign the pledge on our website and to our supporter list of more than 12,000 community members, highlighting candidates who are Friends of PSR on our social media, and promoting PSR champions to our list serve heading into the November elections.
